This privacy policy describes how Elisa Pretty Counselling collects, stores, and uses your personal information when you visit elisapretty.com or contact the practice. The practice operates in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
We collect personal information you provide directly through the website's booking and contact forms. This includes your name, email address, phone number (where given), and any notes you choose to share with your booking.
We do not collect sensitive health information through the website. Anything shared in session is held within the clinical record and governed by separate clinical privacy obligations.
How it's stored
Booking and contact form data are stored in Supabase, a managed Postgres database with encryption at rest and in transit. Access is restricted to Elisa Pretty and is protected by Row Level Security policies and authenticated access tokens.
Google Calendar integration
When you book a session, an event is created on Elisa's Google Calendar with your name, email address, and the time of the session. Google generates a Google Meet video link for each booking. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Email communications
Confirmation and follow-up emails are sent through Resend, a transactional email provider. Resend processes your email address and message content solely to deliver the email. Resend's privacy practices are described in their Privacy Policy.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We do not use third-party advertising trackers on this site. The site does not set marketing cookies. Minimal cookies may be set by Vercel (the hosting provider) for security and performance reasons.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you via the contact form. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, and within 30 days at the latest.
Privacy enquiries
For privacy questions or to make a complaint, please write via the contact form. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Updates
This policy may be updated from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the website.
